Candle Care
To ensure the most effective and enjoyable experience with your Reconnect & Bloom candle, please follow our candle care tips below.
Initial Burn: When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax melts across the entire surface to the sides of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's lifespan. This may take 2-4 hours.
Safety Precautions: If the candle smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before relighting.
Supervision: Always burn your candle within sight. Keep out of reach of children, pets, books, curtains or anything flammable.
Clean Wax Pool: Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
Wick Maintenance: Trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch before each burn to promote an even burn, and limit sooting or wick mushrooming.
Soot Removal: If soot ever forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, then gently wipe the soot away with a clean, damp cloth. Trim the wick and relight.
